It’s been nearly two weeks since my last confession:0) Winter has returned with temperatures below freezing. And to make things worse: I have been grounded by an annoying cold.

The package from England arrived last week, and I have tied lots of new flies: Teal & Green, Camasunary Killer, Gold Ribbed Hare’s Ear Nymph, Casual Dress and some of Hugh Falkus’ Medicine sea trout flies.

Today I had a short afternoon trip to the river. No fish.

Tied half a dozen brass head Woolly Buggers tonight. Size 10 standard steamer hook and the original Russ Blessing dressing: Black & Olive.
